General Travel Information

The ancient Khmer Empire left Cambodia with a rich array of historical sites to be explored. The former capital of the Angkor Empire, located near the city of Siem Reap, is littered with a magnificent temple.

For decades temple cities like Angkor Wat, the Bayon and Banteay Srey Temple that were once hidden by overgrowth from the jungle have brought travelers and pilgrims from around the world under its spell. The temple complex of Angkor Wat is considered to be one of the most valuable cultural treasures of mankind.

The capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, is situated along the river and is a city filled with colonial flair, originality, and a wide selection of restaurants and shops. Major attractions in Phnom Penh include the ornate Silver Pagoda at the Royal Palace and the National Museum that boasts some of the countries oldest artifacts. In addition to these rich cultural offerings, the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields will give you insight into the dark past of the Pol Pot regime.

Apart from the unique partly subtropical landscape here will find beautiful beaches for a relaxing beach holiday.
